Whiskey Myers is satisfying their fans need for new music today (9/27) with the release of their self-titled and self-produced new album. Recorded over 18 days at the Sonic Ranch in El Paso, TX, the project features 14 brand-new tracks that full encompasses what the band represents.

“We’ve learned so much over the years of touring and working with incredible people,” shares the band’s front man, Cody Cannon. “We’ve gotten to a place where we know who we are 100%, and where no one can put us in a specific box. Having that mindset allowed us to give our all to self-producing this album and we wound up with a project that we’re incredibly proud of. This album tells you exactly who we are, which is why we decided to simply call it WHISKEY MYERS.”

Studio:
We spent 18 days down at the Sonic Ranch studio outside of El Paso making this record completely our own. We had no distractions and gave every idea we had a fair shot. The end result is an album we're really proud of.

Studio 2:
We decided to self-title the album WHISKEY MYERS because it's 100% us. Self-written, self-produced, self-drawn artwork... top to bottom it's a statement on who we are as a band.

Yellowstone:
This was our big acting debut! Paramount Network and director Taylor Sheridan have been so great to us incorporating our music into their hit show "Yellowstone," but getting to actually appear in an episode was icing on the cake.

Birmingham:
It felt great to get back on the road to our fans and to start introducing new music to our live shows. This was opening night of the Die Rockin' Tour in Birmingham, Alabama.

We played the Palomino Tent at Stagecoach this year and it was overflowing with people singing every word to our songs.

Stagecoach 2:
It was over 100 degrees in there but the fans were some of the rowdiest we'd seen all year. This show was special and made us so excited to get a new record out to the people.

Europe:
We also got to take our show overseas this year, with 15 shows across eight European countries. It's crazy how far this crazy journey has taken us from where we started in small-town East Texas 12 years ago.

This one pretty much speaks for itself - we opened for The Rolling Stones at the Chicago Bears' stadium, Soldier Field. What!? Bucket list stuff right there.

This is our drummer/keys player Tony Kent, hanging backstage before we went out for our opening set. We were all trying to play it cool, but that was definitely a freak-out moment.

Music Video:
Our live shows have been so important over the past few years as we built up to this new album, so we wanted to capture that energy of our live performances in the music video for the first song we released off this new album, "Die Rockin'."

In celebration of their new album, the group shared a collection of exclusive photos with Sounds Like Nashville. Among the pictures are several from recording sessions that show the band getting down the nitty gritty of the album-making process.

“We had no distractions and gave every idea we had a fair shot. The end result is an album we’re really proud of,” the band tells us.

In addition to the BTS studio photos, the band shared some snapshots of their time on the road with stops in Birmingham, Stagecoach and more.
