Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, ZZ Top and More Set for Outlaw Tour 2022

Legendary country outlaw Willie Nelson will ride again this summer, and he’s got a massive posse coming with him.

Set to turn 89 on April 29, he’ll once again headline the huge Outlaw Music Festival Tour 2022, which puts on a whole music festival in more than 20 cities around the nation. Nelson will headline, and with him are big names like Chris Stapleton, ZZ Top, Brothers Osborne and much more.

Kicking off June 24 in St. Louis, Missouri, the 2022 Outlaw Music Festival Tour is going big and bold, just like it has since 2016. Willie Nelson & Family will headline each show (with Nelson grieving the recent death of his sister and piano player, Bobbie), and the rest of each bill is stacked. Along with Stapleton, ZZ Top, Brothers Osborne, other supporting acts include The Avett Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Billy Strings, Gov’t Mule, Zach Bryan, Steve Earle & The Dukes, Allison Russell, Charley Crockett, Larkin Poe, The War and Treaty, Brittney Spencer, Particle Kid and more.

“The Outlaw Music Festival Tour has always been about family and friends coming together for a great day of music and fun, and with the amazing group of artists joining us, this year promises to be our most special Outlaw Tour to date,” Nelson says in an official statement. “I just can’t wait to get back on the road again.”

Tickets for the general public go on sale March 25, at 10 AM (local for each venue). VIP packages will be available, Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, March 22, at 10 AM local.

Willie Nelson recently announced the passing of his older sister and longtime musical partner, Bobbie Nelson, who was a staple of his live shows for decades and appeared on numerous albums, including 2021’s The Willie Nelson Family, which also included Nelson’s sons and daughters. The icon and original country outlaw will release yet another album, A Beautiful Time, on his birthday (April 29). This set features new originals as well as songs made famous by The Beatles and Leonard Cohen, plus a song co-written by tour mate Chris Stapleton and Rodney Crowell.
