William Michael Morgan Dishes on How He Proposed to Runaway June’s Jennifer Wayne
He liked it, so he put a ring on it...and now Morgan is letting fans in on the huge romantic gesture.
Now that he’s ‘Met a Girl’ and put a ring on it, William Michael Morgan is giving all the details on how the romantic proposal went down.
Taking the turn to hang out with her family for the holidays, Morgan and Runaway June’s Jennifer Wayne jetsetted out to Malibu, California, for a little R&R during their breaks. Although Morgan admitted in an interview with People Magazine that he’s not much of the planning type, he wanted to get out of his element to surprise his bride-to-be.
The country singer and his loving girl went up north from Malibu to the beach town of Santa Barbara for a quick getaway. Seizing the moment in the gorgeous oceanside city, Morgan relied on the charming elements to land him the love of his life.
“We had a big bottle of Dom Perignon, bottle of wine, went to a big old nice steak dinner, and we had the hotel right on the ocean. God couldn’t have put it any better for me and I just asked her. Surprisingly, she said ‘Yes,’” he told the magazine.
But another big part of any proposal depends on the ring. For that little detail though, Morgan had no problem picking out what rock would bring a sparkle to Wayne’s eye.
“She likes simple and beautiful and elegant and kind of easy stuff and so I just picked out something like that,” he said.
Morgan also set the record straight, claiming they won’t be running to the altar anytime soon so the two of them can work on their separate music careers throughout this year. His latest single, “Missing,” is currently making its way on to country radio now.
