William Michael Morgan Talks Wedding Rings, Impending Nuptials

Less than a week ago, Sam Hunt nearly broke the Internet when he sparked speculation over whether or not he had already married his fiancée Hannah Lee Fowler when he posted several pictures on Instagram of himself sporting his wedding band. However, it was confirmed that the singer isn’t married (yet) and that he simply enjoys wearing the band.

Hunt isn’t the only country singer who likes showing off the bling on his left ring finger ahead of saying “I do.” Newcomer William Michael Morgan is also breaking in his wedding band by wearing it day in and out.

“Me and Sam Hunt both are wearing ours. I didn’t know he was wearing his,” the “Missing” singer told Sounds Like Nashville and other media recently. “So that’s cool. I’m not the only one doing that. Hell, setting a trend. What can I say?”

While Morgan is enjoying wearing his wedding ring, he and his fiancée, Runaway June’s Jennifer Wayne, aren’t ready to make things official just yet.

“We’re planning. There’s not much set it stone quite yet,” he explained. “I’m thinking sometime December-ish, sometime after Christmas and before February. So that’s all we really got so far.”

As for his involvement in the wedding plans?

“I want to be involved as much as I can. Of course I don’t understand the menus and the this and the that, I know I’m just ready to say ‘I do’ and give her a big ole kiss.”

Morgan dropped to one knee to ask for Wayne’s hang in marriage back in December during a trip to Malibu.

“We had a big bottle of Dom Perignon, bottle of wine, went to a big old nice steak dinner, and we had the hotel right on the ocean. God couldn’t have put it any better for me and I just asked her. Surprisingly, she said ‘Yes,’” he said of the proposal.

While plans to say “I do” are still underway, the couple will spend much of their time touring the country promoting their blossoming country careers.
