Willie Nelson will celebrate America’s birthday with the return of his annual Fourth of July picnic. Returning to Circuit of the America’s Austin360 Amphitheater for the second consecutive year, the festival will feature more than 20 artists on two stages.
This year’s lineup will include Brantley Gilbert, Kris Kristofferson, Jamey Johnson with Alison Krauss, Lee Ann Womack, Asleep at the Wheel, Billy Joe Shaver, Shakey Graves, Leon Russell, Ray Wylie Hubbard, David Allan Coe and Margo Price. Nelson & Family, Jamestown Revival, Cody Johnson, Johnny Bush, Paula Nelson, the Raelyn Nelson Band, Folk Uke, Dallas Wayne and Amber Digby are also slated to take the stage.
“I got the idea from Woodstock about how music could bring people from different places together,” explained Nelson (quote via Taste of Country). “I had just moved to Austin and had come to realize what a great music center it was and could be.”
The Fourth of July picnic will also include shopping from local businesses and a fireworks display. Tickets are on sale, with VIP packages available, at ticketmaster.com.
