Willie Nelson Honored In Texas
The Texas Legislature has just named Willie Nelson the 2009 Texas State Musician. The honor was given to Willie for his “outstanding commitment to the arts in Texas,” something that’s always been close to Nelson’s heart. Willie says “I consider it a great honor and I want to thank everyone who helped make it happen.”
