It takes a lot of hard work and even better songs to have a long-lasting career in music. With that in mind, the USA Network enlisted the help of some of country music’s most iconic acts for help on their new showcase series Real Country.
Willie Nelson, Trace Adkins, Wynonna Judd and Big & Rich will each join as celebrity guests, offering their advice to the budding singers appearing on the show. Go Country 105 host and former Bachelorette star Graham Bunn has signed on as host.
The eight-episode series will feature a permanent panel of artists, including Shania Twain, Jake Owen and Travis Tritt. During the hour-long episodes, the three will collectively choose rising artists, duos and groups to perform showcases and demonstrate their talent.
The best artists featured through the season will perform during a two-hour finale for the chance at being named one of country music’s next breakout stars.
The opportunity to aid those pursuing their musical passion was one Twain and Owen couldn’t pass up.
“It’s been an incredible year for me, releasing my new album and coming back to country music. I feel it’s time for me to add my own support in finding our greatest undiscovered talent,” Twain shared in a press release. “It’s beyond thrilling to be leading the charge with Real Country, and I’m on a mission to find artists who will keep country music diverse and dynamic — the kind of diversity that inspired all of us.”
Added Owen, “Country music truly seems to be the healing factor in a lot of people’s lives. I will always be grateful for music, whether I’m performing or listening, and I want to encourage up-and-coming artists to tell their stories, find their audiences and make their mark in country music with the same guidance that artists have given to me throughout my journey.”
Real Country will premiere on the USA Network on Tuesday, November 13 at 10/9c.
