The Zac Brown Band helped lift up the nation’s bravest over the holiday weekend, raising $1.4 million with the livestream event, 4th With The Family.

Set up as a fund raiser for Brown’s Camp Southern Ground — a summer youth camp which also supports veterans of the U.S. military and helps them return to civilian life — the free, acoustic concert took place on Friday (July 3). And with help from partners LiveXLive, it gathered nearly 600,000 views.

4th With The Family was filmed from Camp Southern Ground and broadcast live, featuring full-band performances of ZBB’s biggest hits and their new single “The Man Who Loves You the Most.” But there was also plenty of inspiration, with guest appearances by NBC’s Hoda Kotb, Medal of Honor recipient Salvatore Giunta, and former Seahawks player and Green Beret Nate Boyer.

“I’m always in awe of the sacrifices and selflessness of our military, it’s really the special kind of people who choose to serve our country,” said Brown. “The live stream was an amazing celebration for all the people who have fought, died and lived their life so that we can be safe. We are honored to do our part to support them in any way we can.”

The money raised will now be used for Camp Southern Ground’s Warrior Week and Warrior PATHH, free veteran programs which get back underway in August and run through May. Visit CampSouthernGround.org to learn more and apply.
