Zac Brown Dishes On ZBB’s ‘Eat & Greets’

Zac Brown Band 2

The Zac Brown Band always seems to find a way to stand out. Whether it’s making music that sounds different than anything else on the radio, or throwing their own music and food festivals, ZBB is known for putting their own unique spin on everything they touch, and that includes the band’s meet and greets with fans.

Instead of having fans wait in line to snap a quick picture and receive an autographs, Zac Brown Band treats their fans to “eat & greets,” which give fans a chance to hang with the band and enjoy a home-cooked meal.

“All the walls come down around people when you’re around a meal,” Brown explains. “It just breaks down barriers and we wanna be known for doin’ things differently and when you feed somebody a great meal they remember it.”

He says it’s also a way of taking him and the rest of the band of that pedestal that famous people are constantly on.

“We are one of the people and when we get to sit and eat with our people and our fans it solidifies that,” he shares. “And it’s also just a reminder to them and ourselves that we’re no different than they are, even though we’re up on the stage and they’re out there.”

At first, the concept was received by fans as a negative one because they wouldn’t receive a picture and autograph, but Brown says that quickly changed once fans caught wind of how the
“eat & greets” would work.

“So we actually sit in it and visit with ‘em and it means a lot to me that we service our fans differently and are connected to ‘em. ‘Cause we plan on doin’ what we’re doin’ for decades.”

The award-winning group is currently working on a new album, and just released their brand new single, “Homegrown.”
