Ashton Shepherd Is “Wary” Of Other Women

In the new video for her latest single “Look It Up” Ashton Shepherd plays the part of a wife who has recently been cheated on by her husband. In the video the wife sells all of her husband’s belongings at a yard sale…pretty good revenge, right? Well, in the real world, Shepherd is happily married to her husband of six years, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t keep her eye on other women.

“My husband and I have been married for six years and we’re social people,” Shepherd says. “[So] I’m wary and watchful of other women. It’s not that I’m not a woman fan, but we can sense vibes and know when other women are going to stir strife, and I’m not about stirring strife … [So I thought] about how angry I would be if it happened to me. It’s like acting [in that] I can put myself in that position.” (quote via Country Aircheck)
