Big Kenny & Wife Adopt A Son

Big Kenny and his wife Christiev have added to their family, adopting a son in July. Already parents to Lincoln, 4-1/2, after the couple unsuccessfully tried to get pregnant with a second child, Christiev says that adopting was something she and Kenny were very open to. “Having Lincoln as an only child was wonderful but I come from a large family and I didn’t want him alone,” Christiev told People magazine. “Even when Kenny and I were dating I asked him about adoption and he said absolutely, so our hearts and minds were open.”

Back in July, the two brought home their second son, Dakota Jefferson Holiday Alphin. Dakota, now 9 months old, has been a natural fit for the family, says Christiev. “When they put Dakota in our arms, he has the most beautiful smile, and the moment Kenny started talking to him, Dakota lunged toward him. We both looked at each other and it was like, ‘Of course he is our son… This child is so happy and so boisterous. He lunges to kiss and hug and he sings all the time!” she said.
