Blake Shelton made a special appearance on “Betty White’s 2nd Annual 90th Birthday Special” last night on NBC. The special featured a number of Betty’s co-stars [past and present] as well clips from many of her hit shows, like “Golden Girls.” Unfortunately, Betty was unable to attend due to illness, but cameras showed her watching from home.

During the show, the CMA Entertainer of the Year took the stage and said “Betty, the gift I brought for you tonight comes from the heart. You see, I got a confession to make. I’ve always had a little bit of a crush on you.” He added that although he’s happily married, he has been suppressing his feelings towards Betty White. ” But I’m not going to deny them anymore,” he added. “In fact, I think I can NOT deny them best in a song.”

Shelton followed up his confession with a rewrite of his hit “Honey Bee” and ended his cameo by wishing the 91-year-old well. “Betty, I hope that you’re feeling better and I hope you enjoy watching this as much as we love making it for you. Happy second annual 90th birthday.”
