Brandi Carlile, Demi Lovato and H.E.R. To Perform Tribute to Elton John at iHeartRadio Music Awards
A tribute fit for an ICON.
Brandi Carlile, Demi Lovato and H.E.R. will honor Elton John with a tribute performance at the 2021 iHeartRadio Awards on Thursday, May 27th. The singers will deliver their tribute after John is presented the iHeartRadio Icon Award by Chris Martin and Lil Nas X. John was chosen for the award based on his longtime impact on popular music. John shared his appreciation for receiving the award on social media over the weekend.
“I am flattered to be receiving the Icon Award at the @iheartradio Music Awards next week,” he wrote. “I can’t wait to see the performance from @brandicarlile @ddlovato and @hermusicofficial!”
The show, hosted by Usher, will also feature performances from Dan + Shay, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, and more. Country award nominees include Blake Shelton, Gabby Barrett, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Ashley McBryde, HARDY, Ingrid Andress and Jameson Rodgers.
The show, which is in its eighth year, celebrates and honors the most-played songs and artists of the past year on iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app. The show will air live on FOX from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles at 8/7 Central on Thursday. Fans can also tune into the show on iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app. The red carpet and pre-show will be hosted by Elvis Duran, Amy Brown, Maxwell and Emily Curl, and will air on the iHeartRadio Facebook page and YouTube channel at 7pm ET.
