It’s time for the second installment of the Fireside Sessions with singer-songwriter Brent Cobb!

If you recall, CountryMusicIsLove recently teamed up with the Ellaville, Georgia native for the series, which showcases music from his self-titled debut EP.

The second installment of the Fireside Sessions features the track “Diggin Holes,” which Cobb co-wrote with Casey Wood.

“Casey and I wrote ‘Diggin’ Holes’ the first time we got together to write. We were both sort of in ‘the dog house’ at that time in our
lives and trying to make ends meet,” Cobb explains to CMIL. “Casey shared that his brother, who could play music, never came to Nashville. He chose to stay back in Kentucky to work in the coal mines because he was ‘pretty good at diggin’ holes’. The phrase stuck and we combined that idea with not being great in a relationship. The outcome felt honest.”
