The Country Music Association announced early Monday morning (8/19) that Carrie Underwood will host the 53rd Annual CMA Awards. Joining her this year will be guest hosts Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton.
The iconic performers will celebrate legendary women in country music throughout the annual ceremony.
“It’s an incredible honor to welcome Carrie, Reba and Dolly to the CMA Awards stage this year,” says Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “In addition to awarding the year’s best and brightest in the genre, ‘The 53rd Annual CMA Awards’ will celebrate the legacy of women within Country Music, and we couldn’t think of a more dynamic group of women to host the show.”
Between them, the women have 124 CMA Award nominations and 22 wins. 11 of those wins fall under the Female Vocalist of the Year category, with additional two wins as Entertainer of the Year.
Nominations for this year’s celebration will be announced on Wednesday, August 28 during ABC’s Good Morning America.
