Carrie Underwood: ‘I Want To Be A Hot Wife’

Carrie Underwood graces the cover of the latest issue of People. Inside, the superstar talks about how she keeps her marriage going strong and what inspires her to stay fit.

Though she’s been on the road for the last eight months for her “Blown Away Tour,” the “See You Again” singer says that she and her hockey hubby, Mike Fisher, make the union work through frequent texts, wine and grill nights at their home with friends and meeting up for dates. Their place of preference? Subway. Underwood reveals they “called it ‘our place’ when we were first dating!”

Underwood is also inspired by Fisher to stay in shape. “Even when he’s like, ‘I’m so out of shape,’ he still has a six-pack,” she says. “Having Mike there – I want to be a hot wife!”

Underwood also said she would give up her career if it meant saving her marriage. “If Mike ever told me he needed me to quit, I’d quit,” she says. “When you make that promise to somebody, and you stand before God and your family and friends, you’ve got to do everything that you possibly can to make that work.”
