Carrie Underwood: ‘I Have About Half an Album Done’
It’s been nearly two years since Carrie Underwood released her third studio album Play On, so it’s safe to safe fans are more than anxious for new music from the country superstar. While she recently earned her 14th No.1 single with Brad Paisley’s “Remind Me,” Underwood has kept relatively under the radar this year. We now know why.
Earlier today, Carrie revealed that’s she’s been hard at work writing and recording songs for her next album.
“I have been writing quite a bit and have been in the studio a little bit,” she told Ryan Seacrest during his radio show. “I have about half an album done right now and I am trying to fill in the gaps and figure out what pieces of the puzzle are missing. It’s a fun time right now.”
The good news is, she’s working on new music, but the bad news is she’s not ready to let fans hear it just yet. When Seacrest asked if she had plans to play any new music at the iHeartRadio later this month Underwood said, “It’s a little to early to debut anything.” Adding that she wants to make sure it’s “alright” before fans hear it.
During the interview, Carrie also discussed cheering on her hubby and the Nashville Predators, gambling in Las Vegas and more.
