Casey James Experiences ‘Unbelievable’ Moment on Stage

Since his time on American Idol, Casey James has been hard at work writing and recording songs for his forthcoming debut album. The Texas native has experienced many great first moments so far, one of them being hearing his fans sing his song back to him at a recent concert.

“I was somewhere just the other day, and I started the single, and everybody started singin’ along, and it was just unbelievable,” Casey shares. “Thanks to the radio stations for playin’ the song because people are starting to know it and sing along with me, and it was one of those moments — one of the best moments of my life, really.”

“My heart almost stopped,” he continues. “I mean, I really think that when I saw the people singin’ along with me, it was…it was just one of those moments where I just…I almost forgot to breathe, it was so intense. And there’s no words really to describe it for me, and I’m sure that a lot of people — the big-time people, you know — get that sensation all the time, and I wonder to myself, ‘Do you ever get used to it?’ Because I don’t think I will. I mean…that moment where you’re lookin’ out and people are singin’ a song that came from your heart and your soul, and it means somethin’ to them, too. I can’t ask for more.”

The single Casey is referring to is “Let’s Don’t Call It a Night,” the lead single from his album, which will hit stores later this year.

Another moment that’s sure to be one of Casey’s most memorable is his upcoming debut at the Grand Ole Opry. He’s set to take the stage at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium on January 27.

Casey will also perform at the 3rd Annual CountryMusicIsLove Concert Benefiting City of Hope on Tuesday, February 21 at the Exit/In in Nashville, TN. Tickets are available for just $15 (+$2.75 convenience fee) HERE.
