Chris Cagle’s ‘Got My Country On’ Getting Great Response From Fans

Bigger Picture Group hit-maker Chris Cagle is celebrating his Music Row homecoming with “Got My Country On,” the first single from his highly anticipated fifth in-studio album, due out in early 2012. Rocketing to No. 36 on the Billboard Country Charts only 11 weeks after its debut, this high-energy take on a classic country theme has gained more than 3,152,900 impressions to date, reached an audience of 4.2 million and maintains a consistent bullet on the charts. Using Chris’s way of life – a balance of working hard and playing hard – as a launching pad, “Got My Country On” explores two sides of Cagle – the rocker and the rancher. Written by Kelly Archer, Justin Weaver and Danny Myrick (songsmiths for country greats like Jason Aldean, Craig Morgan and Jo Dee Messina), and produced, in conjunction with Cagle, by ACM and CMA award winner Keith Stegall, the song is a perfect combination of the talents of these music industry heavy-hitters, and showcases Cagle’s musical range.

The song, now available to country stations nationwide, is a taste of what’s to come. “The first moment I heard it, I thought – this resonates,” Chris says. “And the more I got into it, the more I realized I could not come back to country music and to radio and to my fans with a better representation of who I am as an individual.” Cagle is hard at work in Nashville recording his forthcoming full-length album.

This single resoundingly reminds old fans of what they have missed during Cagle’s absence from the music scene and is also fast attracting new fans with the classic Cagle rock-infused country sound. The “Got My Country On” music video, currently airing on CMT, GAC, CMT PURE and CMT.com received over 10,400 online views in its first week. Directed by Marcel and filmed on location at the Cagle family “Big Horse Ranch” in Marietta, Okla., and at a raucous tour stop at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, the video illustrates to viewers how Cagle gets his country on: by performing his loud, self proclaimed “redneck rock ‘n roll” and by getting some serious work done maintaining his impressive Oklahoma homestead.

Cagle’s professional credits include two gold albums, two No. 1 albums and 12 charted songs. From 2000-2008, Cagle released an impressive string of hits that resulted in a scorching hot career. After taking a break to focus on the thrills that family and hard work bring him, Chris is back in action.
