Chris Young Taking “Next Step” In Career With New Music
Chris Young’s latest single “Tomorrow” is quickly becoming one of our personal favorite songs on the country charts. As soon as “Voices” reached the top of the charts, the label wasted no time releasing this single and, after just a few weeks, the song has already reached Top 30. Chris says even though it’s all happening so fast, he’s excited for fans to hear new music.
“I'm puttin' all the finishing touches on the new album,” Young says. “We've pretty much got the whole thing done. You know, it's the first new music I've had in, really, three years. The Man I Want to Be is, like, two-and-a-half, three years old for me. So, it's honestly just as fast as I'd wanted to put it out [laughs], so I was glad it worked out that way.”
“This is what we're movin' on to next. This is the next step. This next step in my career, musically, for me, and this song is again something that I was a co-writer on. I was lucky to get in the room with these two guys, Anthony Smith and Frank Myers. And just, I mean, I really think we wrote the song to the wall. I think we did a great job with it, and I'm excited, and I think everybody else is gonna love it just as much as I do.”
“Tomorrow” is the debut single from Young’s forthcoming album Neon, which hits stores later this year.
