Colt Ford – “Ride Through The Country”

We first came across Colt Ford about a year ago when his video for “No Trash In My Trailer” was making the rounds. It was immediately obvious that although he isn’t your typical country act, his music is very entertaining and fun!

With songs like “Waffle House,” “Cold Beer,” and “I Can’t Sing,” Colt’s Ride Through The Country album is full of songs that everyday people can relate to. Not only do his lyrics draw from southern living, he also blends in a lot of comic relief to remind listeners that it’s important to find the fun in any situation!

Colt’s music is definitely very different from the typical country music that you hear, but after only a couple of minutes of listening to his album, I realized that Colt’s point in music goes a little bit deeper than just comedy. It’s very apparent that even when it’s through a funny line, Colt really wants to relate to the common man and give them the comfort of relatability through his music. Country stars Jamey Johnson and John Michael Montgomery also make an appearance on the album to raise the bar even higher!

You can keep tabs on Colt Ford all over the internet – check out his Facebook, MySpace, and get even closer to him through his Twitter page!
