Darius Rucker Prepares Follow Up To “Learn To Live”
Darius Rucker, who recently won the title for CMA Best New Artist, is hard at work on his second country album. Rucker says he’s about six songs into the follow up to his platinum album, Learn To Live. He recently told Billboard that he’s writing with a lot of the same people he worked with on his first album, including Frank Rogers, who produced Learn To Live.
“Everybody’s pitching songs and calling me to write,” Rucker says, “and Frank says he’s never had a record that more people want to get on than this one. I’m writing with as many people as I can, and if I hear something amazing, we’ll cut it.”
Rucker plans to release the album later this year.
“I don’t think the record’s really taken shape yet,” Rucker says. “We really feel like we’ve just begun.”
