Darius Rucker To Debut Special New Song At ACMs
Darius Rucker is set to debut a brand new song called “Music From The Heart” during Sunday’s 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The special performance will feature Darius and 25 of the song’s co-writers. According to The Associated Press, the song was penned by young people with developmental disabilities who had the chance to attend the ACM Lifting Lives music camp in Nashville during the Summer of 2010. Chris Young and Brett James also helped write the tune.
Rucker’s performance will support the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and its mission to improve the lives of young adults with developmental disabilities. During the show,viewers can make a $5 donation by texting DREAM to 27722, calling 1-888-9-LIFTING or logging on to acmliftinglives.org.
The 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 3 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.
