Darius Rucker To Hold Second Annual ‘Darius & Friends’ Concert Benefiting St. Jude

Darius Rucker will host the Second Annual ‘Darius & Friends’ benefit concert on Monday, June 6 at the Wildhorse Saloon in Downtown Nashville. Like last year, the event will take place during the week of the CMA Music Festival.

The inaugural event raised more than $48,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Rucker is hoping to better that amount with this year's show.

“It’s extremely important to me to grow our annual benefit for St. Jude as I pledged to help each year with their fundraising efforts,” says Rucker. “CMA Music Fest is a great time to host the event because we reach so many of our core fans and St. Jude supporters.”

Although Rucker has not announced his “friends” joining him for the 2011 event, fans can expect to see more of the enthusiasm and camaraderie from all involved as it is sure to be a night to remember. Best of all, 100% of proceeds from ticket sales will help St. Jude continue its mission of finding cures and saving children fighting deadly diseases.

Tickets go on sale March 25.
