Easton Corbin has released the top of the charts with his very first single, “A Little More Country Than That.” The achievement comes on the heels of another career milestone for Corbin as he made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry (pictured above) this past weekend.
“A big thank you to country radio for believing in Easton and this song from the very beginning,” said Royce Risser, Senior Vice President of National Promotion for Mercury Nashville. “A #1 for a new artist is uncommon, and for it to happen with a new artist’s first single is even more rare. Easton has given us a killer album and we can’t wait to release his next hit! Congratulations to the Mercury Nashville promotions department as well.”
The No. 1 accomplishment is also special to fellow country singer Rory Lee Feek (Joey & Rory) who co-wrote the song. “What a blessing to wake up in the midst of all this and find out a song that you and two of your buddies wrote is at the top of the charts!” said Rory. “Little More Country’s a song that speaks about Joey and I, just as much as it does about Easton, and we’ve been proudly singing it every night in our show.”
You can catch Corbin out on the road this summer as part of Brad Paisley’s H20 tour and on your small screen next week as he makes his first national TV appearance on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” where he’ll sing his hit song.
