Meet Bradley Gaskin

Meet Bradley Gaskin

Last week, during the 2011 Country Radio Seminar (CRS), I had the pleasure of attending a small showcase of Bradley Gaskin, a brand new artist signed to Columbia Nashville. From the second Bradley opened his mouth, I was absolutely blown away by his talent and I couldn’t wait to get back to tell you all about him. I, along with hundreds of representatives from country radio, also had the chance to see him perform during the Sony Music Nashville Boat Show. Apparently I wasn’t the only one he “wow-ed” during CRS week because his self-penned debut single, “Mr. Bartender” has been rushed to country radio due to overwhelming response/demand.

The single wasn’t scheduled to be released to until May, but the label couldn’t hold it back. Gaskin had no website (one is coming soon) and no promo photos. Just a great country song.

Check out our this video of Gaskin’s cover of Keith Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes.”

Gaskin, who’s been nick-named the “Honky Tonk General,” was discovered by John Rich after his wife persuaded him to upload some of his music to MySpace. Rich invited him to enter the “Get Rich Talent Search,” he won, and the rest is history.

If you’re a fan of the song, be sure to call your local station to request it. Also- click the following links to become a fan of Bradley Gaskin on YouTube, Facebook, and MySpace.
