Fan Story: Cecely & Dierks Bentley
Last night I was scrolling through our Twitter timeline and noticed a tweet from Dierks Bentley replying to a fan who had waited for him after his concert in an effort to get her picture taken with him. The girl, Cecely, had since left the venue to head home after her unsuccessful attempt at meeting the country singer.
Cecely had tweeted Dierks that she was heading home and then, about 30 minutes into her drive, she received a tweet back from Dierks saying “sorry! still want to take a pic?”. Of course this created a dilemma for her as she was so far from the venue. After tweeting Dierks back to decide what she should do, it seemed that it was a little too late for Cecely as Dierks tweeted her “sorry cecely! we are headed out. I’ll always sign an autograph or take a pic. didn’t see anyone out there. thx for coming out”. Even though that may have been a little bit of a disappointment after getting her hopes up, it was obviously very nice for Dierks to take the time and respond to her tweets to apologize for the oversight.
Before Cecely could get too disappointed about not getting a picture with one of her favorite country singers, Dierks had a change of heart and tweeted her “actually…. we will wait. come back!”. So Cecely turned her car around and went back to meet Dierks! Check out their picture…
What a great, great story! Not every artist takes the time to sign autographs and take pictures with fans and we can’t think of many at all that would go to the lengths that Dierks did to make Cecely’s night!
