George Strait Sets Billboard Record

Billboard announced today that George Strait has set a new record.

Strait’s latest single, “I Gotta Get To You” reached the No.9 spot this week, making Strait the first act to hit the top 10 on any Billboard chart for 30 consecutive years.

His first top ten single was “Unwound” in 1981. “I Gotta Get To You” has become Strait’s 82nd top 10 country hit.
