Glen Campbell, George Jones to Receive Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award
Glen Campbell and George Jones are among next year’s recipients of the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. Campbell and Jones, along with fellow Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Allman Brothers Band, Antonio Carlos Jobim, the Memphis Horns, Diana Ross and Gil Scott-Heron, will attend a special invitation-only ceremony during GRAMMY Week on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 to accept the awards. A formal acknowledgment will also be made during the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast, which will be held at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, and broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
The Lifetime Achievement Award honors performers who have made contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording.
