Jacob Lyda Makes Opry Debut

Jacob Lyda debuted on the Grand Ole Opry stage this past Saturday, August 6, performing “I’m Doing Alright,” and his next radio single single, “Born At A Truck Stop; ” both co-penned by Lyda and found on his forthcoming album, Another Song I had To Write.

Lyda made his debut in the coveted circle with plenty of friends and family in the audience cheering him on. His hometown of Stevenson, AL chartered a bus to transport fans to support Lyda on his big night– all arranged by Mayor Rick Steele.

“I was overwhelmed by the amount of support from so many friends and family members. Many drove great distances from all over the tri-state area to cheer me on,” says Lyda. “It was an unbelievable night for many reasons, including witnessing the Opry member induction of The Oak Ridge Boys. Words cannot fully express my gratitude and the life-long memories created in one evening. I’m so thankful to have had the chance to live out my dream.”

Lyda is preparing to release his second single, “Born At A Truck Stop,” to radio this fall.
