Justin Moore Reacts To CMT Award Nomination

Justin Moore received his first major awards show nomination this week when “Small Town USA” was nominated for USA Breakthrough Video of the Year Award for the CMT Music Awards. Justin co-wrote the poignant anthem celebrating small town life because he missed his mother's cooking. The music video for the song is very special to Justin as it was shot in his hometown of Poyen, AK (population 272) and features generations of his family as well as his wife, Kate.

“It's very cool to be nominated for a CMT Music Award for 'Small Town USA.' This video is definitely special to me,” says Justin. “To have made that video in my own hometown and to have a lot of my family in it – including my late grandpa – is very cool. I'm very appreciative to my fans and to CMT to be mentioned in the company that I am — whether we win or not.”

The CMT Music Awards will be handed out in Nashville on June 9… you can vote for the awards HERE. In the mean time, you can catch Justin out on the road as part of Brad Paisley’s “H2O Tour” that kicks off in May. Justin’s current single, “Backwoods,” sits at No. 11 this week on the country singles charts.
