Recap: Twitter-View With Jaron And The Long Road To Love

We had the opportunity to do a “Twitter-View” with Jaron and the Long Road To Love last night! Here’s a recap, in case you missed it:

CMIL: First, let's chat about the name Jaron and the Long Road to Love. Can you explain how you can up with it & what it means?

JaronATLRTL: It’s my journey. My way of letting my audience know that the songs I sing are about my relationships and trying to get love right.

CMIL: You got started in pop music with your brother as a duo called Evan And Jaron….What made you decide to make the transition to country music?

JaronATLRTL: As an artist I’m concerned with making music, not what genre it ends up being. I’m a fan of all music. Country fans were the…first to find me and claim this time around. And I couldn’t be luckier to have such solid support.

CMIL: Speaking of relationships, you write pretty specifically about one in your current top 20 single, “Pray For You.”….One of our readers, @BryanWebb, would like to know how you came up with the idea to write it.

JaronATLRTL: Like all my songs, I lived it. I wanted to take a real life situation and make it funny. I was heartbroken and wished bad things.

CMIL: I read that you said you're not a typical country music singer…what sets you apart from rest?

JaronATLRTL: That sounds like it was taken out of context. I think all artists are unique in their own way.

CMIL: We think your sound/voice is what sets you apart/makes you unique. We’re loving it!

CMIL: Your album, “Getting Dressed In The Dark” hit stores on June 22. If you had to pick just one song on the album, which one is your favorite and why?

JaronATLRTL: “That’s Beautiful to Me” because it’s where I wish I was, identifying all the quirky things about a girl that make her beautiful.

CMIL: Aww that’s sweet 🙂

JaronATLRTL: Thank you! I try to talk about things in songs that I feel go unsaid. And that are really important to me.

CMIL: The album’s title is interesting…Why is it called “Getting Dressed In The Dark?”

JaronATLRTL: because it parallels my return to music. didn’t know where I was going or who would accept me, but I was determined nonetheless.

CMIL: That’s cool. It makes sense, like you didn’t know what to expect. We get it!

CMIL: @LaurLaff1 is a huge fan of yours and she wants to know if you plan to go on tour soon to support the album.

JaronATLRTL: touring is my favorite thing to do. I will be on tour lots! Just need to roll it out slowly. I tend to work differently than most. Looking into some opening slots later this summer and in the fall. Hope to headline next spring… when I’ve earned it 🙂

CMIL: Can’t wait to see you on the road!

CMIL: What are you most excited for during next week’s CMA Music Festival? Is this your first time attending CMA Fest?

JaronATLRTL: Seeing the real life faces of the people who I talk to daily on facebook. Meeting my FRANS.

CMIL: You’re playing in the @CityofHope Celebrity Softball Challenge…have you been practicing?! 🙂

CMIL: Just a guess…. FRANS= Friends/Fans?! 🙂

CMIL: One last question…In honor of the NBA finals…Lakers or Celtics?

JaronATLRTL: Haven’t been practicing and FRANS = part fan/part friend. And I live in LA so… LAKERS. Originally from GA, so I wanted the HAWKS!

CMIL: Thanks so much for chatting with us! We’re looking forward to seeing you next week at CMA Fest! Have a great night!

JaronATLRTL: Thanks! See you then.
