Eyewitnesses tell TMZ that Rich got in a verbal argument with a handful of passengers prior to boarding the plane. His “drunken” behavior reportedly continued upon boarding the aircraft.
Crew members asked Rich to leave the plane and according to the TMZ report, he cooperated completely.
“Our crew assessed the situation and determined that the passenger was not fit for travel under governing federal aviation regulations,” a Southwest representative tells TMZ. “The customer was rebooked on a later Southwest flight out of Las Vegas, but chose to make alternative travel arrangements. We have processed a refund for the customer and his travel companion.”
The rep did not confirm or deny that the passenger was John Rich.
TMZ reached out to Rich for a comment, but has yet to receive a response.
