Country music icon Tanya Tucker took the stage with Grammy-winning singer Brandi Carlile tonight to perform her career-defining hit, “Delta Dawn” along with a troupe of female country stars.

The performance started off strong with Tucker and Carlile’s mesmerizing voices uniting on the song’s poetic lyrics, with Shooter Jennings playing keyboard. The two powerhouses were joined by an all-star team of female artists that united generations of country women. Icons Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood and Deana Carter stood alongside bright new acts Lauren Alaina, Carly Pearce and RaeLynn, making for an empowering moment.

Their voices reaching the rafters as they soulfully sang in harmony, “Delta Dawn, what’s that flower you have on? Could it be a faded rose from days gone by? And did I hear you say he was a-meeting you here today To take you to his mansion in the sky?” Kelsea Ballerini and Jimmie Allen could be seen swaying to the melody while Keith Urbanwas singing along to one of the best performances of the night.

Tucker is set to her first new album in 17 years, titled The Wheels of Laredo, on Aug 23. The project is produced by both Carlile and Jennings, with majority of the songs written by Carlile and Tim Henseroths.

Earlier today, Tucker released a new song titled “The Wheels Of Laredo” and its accompanying video, offering fans a first taste of the forthcoming record. The aching ballad was penned by Carlile, Phil and Tim Henseroths.
