Television Networks Battle It Out To Air ‘CMA Awards’
Three major networks are reportedly battling for the rights to air the CMA Awards. According to New York Magazine, ABC, CBS, and NBC have recently place hefty bids hoping to score rights to air the show in 2012.
ABC has been the network home to the CMA Awards for the past five years. Before that, CBS was home home to the CMAs for 34 years. Many industry insiders expect NBC to land the deal, but as of now, nothing is set in stone. New York Magazine expects a deal to made by month’s end.

“The 45th Annual CMA Awards” airs live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 9 on ABC. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will return to host the show for the fourth time.
