Presidential Election 2016: Our Top Country Music Picks for President and Vice President
Check out who we would want to see on the ticket this year and why we think they should become our country Commander in Chief.
Ah, we can just feel it in the air that it’s getting to be that time of year, when the party conventions stir up some press and the ad campaigns get a little more obnoxious. Yep, you guessed it; it’s election season and this time around, the campaigns and candidates have been a little more interesting to say the least.
But with all the political madness happening at the moment, Blake Shelton decided to throw his hat into the ring on Twitter and add some fuel to the fire with his opinion. After a fan told him they would vote for him, he answered back with his own game plan on how to handle the election.
Is it too late for me to run? I’ll make @LukeBryanOnline my VP and @adamlevine my bitch… https://t.co/JXtfrUMkOd

“Is it too late for me to run? I’ll make @LukeBryanOnline my VP and @adamlevine my b***h…,” Shelton responded in his always hilarious fashion.
That made us at Sounds Like Nashville wonder who would make the best president/vice president running mates for this 2016 election coming up in November. Check out who we would want to see on the ticket this year and why we think they should become our country Commander in Chief.
Brad Paisley for President, Carrie Underwood for VP
It’s reassuring to know that a pair like Paisley and Underwood can work well together. Based on their time as co-hosts of the CMA Awards for the past eight years, they prove that teamwork makes the dream work (which could honestly be their campaign slogan). Besides, Underwood would know how to keep Paisley in line if he ever had to issue an executive order.
Reba McEntire for President, George Strait for VP
McEntire-Strait 2016. Doesn’t that just sound like the ultimate campaign sticker? As the queen and king of country music respectively, they seem like they could take care of business just fine. If fans went up to the polls to check yes or no, they’d surely be going with the ‘Fancy’ gal and her ‘Troubadour’ running mate.
Dierks Bentley for President, Elle King for VP
Not only does this pairing make sweet music together a la “Different for Girls,” but their banter-filled relationship would make for the ultimate ticket. Who knows…maybe Bentley could take his experience from the high skies to the next level by piloting a flight on Air Force One. Nonetheless, we trust these two would do a mighty fine job at running the country.
Blake Shelton for President, Luke Bryan for VP
Just as Shelton would have wanted, he can take Bryan on as his “veep” to make one of the funniest ballot choices of all time. While they may be able to act serious on occasion, these two goofballs would make the White House into their party place. Plus, if Shelton is so adamant about keeping Adam Levine around, might as well just make him the butler!
Bobby Bones for President, Lunchbox (Dan Chappell) for VP
Mission No. 1 for the Bones-Lunchbox team: “pimpin joy” across the country by having everyone tell them something good. Their hilarious personalities would bring back a lot of light into the nation and keep the people happy by having every day be a good day. Also, who wouldn’t want Amy as Secretary of State or the Raging Idiots as the Presidential Cabinet?
Let us know who would make the best country music president-vice president combo!
