They’re back! Grammy award-winning trio The Band Perry just released their highly anticipated new single, “Comeback Kid,” to Country radio via Mercury Nashville / Interscope Records.
The song, which is about overcoming adversity, was written by Kimberly Perry, Reid Perry, and Neil Perry, and was co-produced by the siblings alongside Benny Cassette.
“‘Comeback Kid’ follows the narrative of what the three of us have been feeling over the past year, but also something bigger,” said The Band Perry. “It is the story of anyone who’s walked through a challenging time only to come out the other side much stronger and wiser.”
The band has been excited to share their new music with fans as Kimberly Perry pointed out to Sounds Like Nashville during CMA Fest in June.
“We’ve gone through an amazing transition and we’re so proud to be at a label home with such caring people who just believe in our music and we’re so excited to get a new song on country radio. It’s right around the corner,” Kimberly told us exclusively.
The track is the band’s first single since parting ways with Big Machine Label Group’s Republic Nashville earlier this year.
