Life’s too short to cry over boys who don’t care. For Tara Thompson, she wishes to inspire all women to stand strong in good times and bad through the help of her music.

Thompson stepped onto the scene with a little sass in her stilettos with her single, “Someone To Take Your Place.” The song, which is all about getting over a break up with confidence, has lyrics to empower all women to kiss the past goodbye when it comes to being sad over a guy.

“I would love to have hopes to inspire women to not let a break up bring them down because why waste your time crying over someone who does want to be with you,” Thompson said recently.

As a part of the CMT Next Women of Country Tour, Thompson wishes to spread the message like wildfire through her music that it’s OK to just move on and not give any attention to the heartbreakers who don’t mean a thing in the end.

“As forward as that sounds, you’re just wasting your time being sad on someone who ain’t sad about you,” she said.

At this rate, it looks like Thompson’s debut album is on its way to be the next girl-power record and confidence always rocks.
