Keith Urban’s ‘Ripcord’ Debuts at No.1

Keith Urban’s Ripcord has debuted atop the charts in the United States, Canada and Australia, marking his second time achieving the milestone.

“The 15 months that I spent recording RIPCORD, was one of the most incredible musical journeys I’ve ever had,” said Urban.  “Working with some of the most creative, and inspiring musicians to explore and expand my music in the studio was exhilarating. To now see this music connecting with my audience in this way is an extraordinary feeling – it means everything to me.”

Ripcord has already produced two No.1 songs, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” and “Break On Me,” with the third single “Wasted Time” sitting in the Top 10. The project also features collaborations with Pitbull and Carrie Underwood.

Urban’s new album comes just weeks before he embarks on his ripCORD World Tour 2016 with Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris. He will also be joined by Morris and Dallas Smith for the Canadian leg, and Underwood for the Australian segment.

The superstar is nominated for two trophies for the upcoming 2016 CMT Music Awards, one for Video of the Year and one for Male Video of the Year with “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16.” The CMT Awards air live from Nashville on Wednesday, June 8.
