Walker Hayes and his wife Laney are couple straight out of a dream. Together for years, the couple have embraced the ups and downs of married life, growing closer together with each passing day.

Walker and Laney, who have six children, began their storybook tale with a date to a monster truck rally, then spent hours talking into the night atop a piece of construction equipment they’d “hijacked.” After dating through college, the couple split, only to find their way back to each other months later.

Now, years after, the couple will celebrate another special Valentine’s Day together and with their family. Ahead of the most romantic day of the year, Walker is giving fans an inside look at some of the most special gifts he’s given his bride (some of which may spark an idea or two for those last minute gift givers!).

Design personalized jewelry – “[I made] a ring made of scrap metal [from] me and Laney’s first date back in 1997. We crashed a construction site after this monster truck show I took her to. Side note – the Grave Digger beat Big Foot in an absolute NAIL BITER. Anyway, we hijacked a genie and drove it around, raised it up and chilled on that thing for hours. Made her this ring with scrap metal I found on the floor of the genie.”

Pick up a travel souvenir - “Laney and I just took a week-long trip to the Dominican Republic (without the kids – what what!). I picked out this shell for her and when I gave it to her I said “I love the shell out of you.'”

Create a custom canvas portrait – “Was pretty proud of this one… I had this picture printed on a canvas of all the kids lined up laying on the stairs.”

Hand draw artwork – “I love to draw and luckily Laney loves receiving them. I always draw random things as gifts to her… pregnant supermom, construction genie drawing (from our first date), etc.”

Plan activities – “For date nights, Laney and I would ride our bikes to downtown Franklin so had to pimp out her ride with this pink bike!”
