Year In Review: 2013 Country Weddings

After taking a look at the year’s engagements, we’re now recapping 2013’s country weddings!

It seems October was the perfect time to exchange vows, with Kelly Clarkson, Gloriana’s Tom Gossin and Pistol Annies’ Ashley Monroe all tying the knot during that month. 2013 was also the year of surprise weddings, with Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Sarah Darling both surprising fans with the details of their secret nuptials.

Here’s a look back at 2013′s country music weddings…

The Henningsens’ leading lady Clara Henningsen tied the knot this year. The singer married Jacob Calaway on her family farm in May and walked down the aisle to a recording of “Beautiful You” by her father and bandmate, Brian.

Kelly Clarkson said “I do” to fiance Brandon Blackstock in an intimate ceremony at Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN. “I’m officially Mrs. Blackstock,” she wrote on Facebook the day after. Blackstock is also Blake Shelton’s manager and stepson to Reba.

Tom Gossin of Gloriana exchanged vows with longtime girlfriend Jamie Moffett in Nashville. The couple, who has been together for ten years, got engaged in March of 2012. Gossin was joined by his bandmates, brother Mike Gossin and Rachel Reinert for the celebration.

Ashley Monroe also tied the knot in 2013. Monroe married Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks at Blackberry Farm, the same place where Clarkson said “I do” a few days prior. Close friends Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were involved in the big day, with Shelton officiating and Lambert acting as maid of honor.

Rodney Atkins and Rose Falcon were married in front of twenty guests on a beach in Florida this November. Atkins son, Elijah, acted as best man.

After announcing her engagement in April, Sarah Darling shocked fans with the news that she and fiance James Muriel had taken it a step further and gotten married the same weekend. ”We just decided very spontaneously to get married,” she explained to People.

Former “The Voice” contestant Gwen Sebastian got hitched this year to her longtime producer/drummer boyfriend Louis Newman. On 11/12/13, the couple exchanged vows in Nashville, among family and friends.

In a surprising announcement, Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley married his girlfriend of seven months, Brittney Marie Cole. Among 40 guests at Kelley’s new home, the couple was married during a sunset ceremony. The couple has known each other for a few years and Kelley explained to People, “I always knew in my heart that if I were single, then I wanted a chance with her. She was my dream girl.”
