There’s a country wedding in the works for Carly Pearce and Michael Ray. The couple got engaged during a romantic pre-Christmas trip to Tulum, Mexico.
Pearce and Ray announced the news with coinciding Instagram announcements, expressing their excitement to make their love official.
“Dec 19, 2018, My life changed for the better,” wrote Ray. “I got down on one knee in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen and looked into the eyes of the most beautiful soul I have ever known and asked her to be my wife. Carly, you make it all make sense, every step of my life good and bad was leading me to you. You are the biggest blessing I have and will ever receive.”
The Florida native went on to express the reasons he loves her and share that he’s overwhelmed to bring his fiancée home for Christmas.
Like Ray, Pearce was over the moon to share in her engagement news, sharing the same photos, plus one of her gorgeous ring.
Announcing “we are gettin’ married, baby,” she wrote “Michael, I would’ve married you the first night we hung out because I knew then you were the one. You will always be my most precious example of God’s timing and His love for me. I have found my home in you and will love you with everything I have forever and a day.”
The two first went public with their relationship in July 2018 with a sweet photo from backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. After weeks of flirting back and forth on Instagram, the two announced their relationship by simply writing “And then one random night at the Nashville Palace changed everything.”
