Country stars Dan + Shay team up with pop icon Justin Bieber for a glossy tribute to picture-perfect romance on the new track “10,000 Hours,” promising to chase their true loves for their rest of their lives.

Co-written by the duo’s Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney alongside Bieber and Jessie Jo Dillon, Jordan Reynolds and Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, “10,000 Hours” was produced by Smyers and finds some harmony-focused common ground between country and Bieber’s smooth vocal pop. The unlikely collaborators trade love-letter verses over lush, Top 40 sonics, then come together for a swaying chorus.

Meanwhile, an official video for the track directed by P. Tracy puts a face on their pledges of undying commitment, featuring the singers alongside their real-life spouses and the “blossoming” of true love. It’s all presented in a throwback style that owes much to the dream-like videos of the early 2000’s TRL era.

“I’d spend 10,000 hours, and 10,000 more / Oh if that’s what it takes to learn that sweet heart of yours / And I might never get there, but I’m gonna try / If it’s 10,000 hours, or the rest of my life … I’m gonna love you,” goes the dramatic hook.

Dan + Shay are up for three awards at this year’s CMA Awards (November 13), and will also be honored at the 10th Annual CMT Artists of the Year special October 16. Their previous single, “All to Myself,” marked their third Billboard Number One in a row.
