David Nail Talks About the Feel of ‘Night’s on Fire’

When “Night’s on Fire” came into the hands of David Nail, the familiarity of the tune made its way into his heart and it was right then that he knew the track would be huge.

In the process of creating his upcoming album, Nail spent a good amount of time filling the project with worthwhile songs that his fans would respond to and also songs that he couldn’t get enough of. “Night’s on Fire” lit him up in a way like no other because its good-time feel made Nail excited about the potential of what the song could turn into for the fans and for his show.

“When I heard ‘Night’s on Fire,’ I knew that I had to record that song. I knew I wanted to play it live,” explained Nail.

With his latest record, Fighter, looking to release next week, “Night’s on Fire” was one of the few songs that catapulted Nail back into the studio after taking on his new role as dad. The track made him want to get back into action during his live shows as well.

“’Night’s on Fire was one of those that I knew, and still today, we’ve been doing it for over a year now, where I still get all fired up,” he said.

Nail’s much-anticipated new album, Fighter, will be released on July 15. Fans can preorder the album now on iTunes.
