Rising country star and The Voice season 17 winner Jake Hoot has released the official music video for “I Would’ve Loved You” with Kelly Clarkson.

The dramatic clip features Hoot and Clarkson passionately belting out the heartbreaking tune in an empty Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. “I Would’ve Loved You” was penned by the emerging country singer, alongside Dean Sams and Jamie Floyd. Upon its release, the track soared straight to No. 3 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart.

“I am so proud at the way this video turned out, and I hope yall love it! I have so many people to thank for making this a reality!” Hoot says of the Taylor Ballantyne-directed clip on Instagram, before going on to those who worked tirelessly to make it happen.

“I Would’ve Loved You” is the lead single off his debut EP, Love Out of Time. The five-track project includes the poignant title track, “La Bamba” featuring Ricky Duran, and more.

“If I could write out what this album means to me, it would take more than the character limit that Instagram allows,” Hoot says of his EP’s release on Instagram. “But I will tell you that myself, my family, my team, producer, writers, studio band, and so many others poured so much of ourselves into this project, and its surreal that it’s finally out! I hope and pray that you love it as much as I do!”
