Kassi Ashton is one of country music’s brightest new stars, and with that buzz surrounding her she’s caught the attention of Budweiser for the launch of a new product. The company tapped the “Taxidermy” singer to introduce their new beverage, Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager.
In a new commercial Budweiser’s famed Clydesdale horses take center stage, pulling a cart filled with the new product. As the cart pulls up to a bar, a deep voice-over reveals the partnership between the Missouri-based company and Jim Beam Whiskey to create the new beverage.
Seated at the bar, Ashton takes a Reserve Copper Lager from the bartender and says, “It’s been a long time comin’.” Budweiser reached out to the singer because of their shared connection to Missouri (the singer also hails from the Show-Me State).
“I’m new, but they believe in me, and I believe in them,” Ashton shared with Taste of Country. “[They said], ‘You’re from Missouri — St. Louis, Mo., where the brewery is — you’re an all-American girl, Budweiser runs through your family veins. We like your personality; let’s do it.’ And I almost fainted.”
Ashton’s personality and singing chops have caught the attention of many big names recently. She also appeared on Keith Urban’s latest album Graffiti U for the song “Drop Top.” She released several songs earlier this year, including “Taxidermy” and “California, Missouri.”
