Watch Carly Pearce Freak Out Over First CMA Nomination

“Every Little Thing” hit maker Carly Pearce just scored her first career CMA Awards nomination — up for New Artist of the Year — and her reaction to the news was absolutely priceless.

Captured on film by her fiancé and fellow country star Michael Ray, Pearce can be seen running around her apartment, screaming with disbelieving delight.

“IN THE MIDDLE OF COOKING EGGS WHEN HE LOOKS AT MY AND SAYS ‘CONGRATS NEW ARTIST NOMINEE.’ Y’all. I am FLIPPING OUT – I have dreamt of being nominated for this for years and truly can’t believe this.,” she wrote, cheekily adding that she burned their breakfast.

The nominations for the 2019 CMA Awards were announced this morning, and Pearce is in the running for her category alongside Cody Johnson, Ashley McBryde, Midland and Morgan Wallen. Pearce scored a Gold-certified Number one on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with 2017’s romantic “Every Little Thing,” and she has since followed up with “Hide the Wine” and “Closer to You.”

Pearce has been nominated for New Female Vocalist of the Year at the competing ACM Awards for the past two years, but has yet to win. She’ll surely be in the audience when the 53rd annual CMAs kick off in Nashville November 13, airing live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
