Carrie Underwood is staying in the holiday spirit after releasing her first Christmas album, signing on for a nationwide radio special.

On November 25, the country icon will star in the iHeartRadio Holiday Special, a virtual concert airing on iHeartMedia’s AC, HOT AC and Classic Hits stations all across the U.S. The 30-minute program will find Underwood singing cheerful tracks from her first-ever Christmas album, My Gift, and it will be hosted by actor Mario Lopez. The joyful fun kicks off at 7 p.m. local time, and can also be heard on the iHeartRadio app, or watched via video stream on iHeartRadio’s YouTube and Facebook pages.

It’s just the latest example of Underwood’s Christmastime commitment in 2020. The hit maker released My Gift back in September to widespread acclaim, and the album promptly hit Number One the Billboard Country Album chart. The set includes some of Underwood’s classic Christmastime favorites and a few remarkable guest appearances, including a duet with John Legend and a cameo by her son, Isaiah.

Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood is also filming a TV holiday special for HBO, and says her Christmas album is just what she needed in a year unlike any before.

“I’ve never been lucky enough to get to do an entire [Christmas] album, and this just seems like the year,” she told NBC News’ TODAY. “I’m so proud of the music that we were able to create, but, also, we were able to create it this year, through all the obstacles. We just want to bring some Christmas joy to people, so I’m super excited.”
