Maren Morris Cancels 2021 RSVP Tour Due to COVID-19 Concerns

As many people look ahead to the new year, Maren Morris is following suit in terms of her touring schedule for 2021.

The country superstar took to social media to give fans an update about the status of her RSVP tour, which was already rescheduled for next year. With a lot of uncertainty still surrounding COVID-19 across the country, Morris decided to call off the shows at this point in time.

“There is so much hope with this vaccine being distributed in 2021, but we are still unsure of when we will be able to do the tour next year,” Morris wrote in her Instagram post. “With the prospect of, yet again, rescheduling half of the dates already becoming a reality, I have decided to cancel the RSVP tour. You will receive a full refund at point of purchase.”

Fans shouldn’t be too disappointed though, as Morris continued on to say she is working on new music and hoping to complete her third album soon.

“I truly appreciate your patience on this. I am in the midst of working on my third record, so I hope we can all come together and enjoy live shows safely again soon. Love you so much,” she concluded.

It had been previously announced by mid-May that Morris had planned on rescheduling until 2021, along with dozens of other artists who nixed their tours due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well.

The “GIRL” singer has had a huge year, both professionally and personally. Morris snagged a No. 1 hit with “The Bones,” won ACM Female Vocalist of the Year and welcomed her first child with husband Ryan Hurd.

As Morris spends the holiday season with her little family of three, fans can check out her inspiring track, “Better Than We Found It,” which is out now.
