Superstar and current ACM Entertainer of the Year Miranda Lambert is jumping on a growing trend in country music, announcing her first-ever Las Vegas concert residency.

Following in the footsteps of fellow country faves like Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and more, her “Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo The Las Vegas Residency” will open Sept. 23, 2022 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. And like those other artists, she plans to make it worth the trip for fans.

Like any Las Vegas residency, Velvet Rodeo will find Lambert will performing multiple times in the same theatre, with an initial run of 24 shows on the books. The benefit for her is getting to stay in one spot for a while, relieving a bit of travel fatigue, and fans get a special show.

Not having to take down the stage and move to another town each night means the show can be much more ambitious than any standard tour concert (as we’ve seen from Underwood’s dramatic new show), and Lambert plans to take her craft to the next level. Custom designing her show for a more intimate setting than fans normally enjoy, Lambert says she took the task on as the ultimate creative challenge, after also helping devise things like her clothing and boot brand, her Nashville honky tonk and more.

“When you’ve been touring as long as I have, there’s something really creative about imagining a residency in a city like Las Vegas,” she explains. “I’ve had a lot of fun designing our sets, merchandise and clothing and boot lines – and even my place on Broadway in Nashville, Casa Rosa – so, this opportunity allows me to lean in a bit more into that side of myself and think about how to really bring country music to life in this room. I think everyone will like what we’ve dreamed up. I’m really excited about this!”
